The final version of the operating system is available for download on Windows 7 August (July 6). It runs on PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones and integrated PCs. Microsoft has decided to make a profit by selling Windows's one-year subscription. Upgrading to Windows is free for owners of Windows 7 and Windows 7.1 (except Enterprise versions). Windows 7 was first unveiled at a media event on October 5.
